Sustainable Construction
lambert-gill have extensive experience of sustainable construction, having been involved in many eco-friendly schemes and provided input into sustainable solutions on numerous building projects.

Our Work
Our company ethos is to minimise waste and provide the most sustainable methodology for all our activities. We have had the privilege of being involved in flagship sustainability projects and are particularly proud of our roles in constructing the following:-
The National Trust Footprint Building – The aim of this project was to provide an entirely sustainable building and to this end we worked in collaboration with the Client’s team to produce a solution which included recycled tyre foundations, recycled slate fill, straw bale and cob walls, managed/renewable oak frame, timber shingle roof, sheep’s wool insulation, log burning stove and hydro electric power from the adjacent water course.
Sustainable Re-development of Talkin Tarn Country Park – On this scheme we were entrusted by Carlisle City Council to carry out a full redevelopment of this country park, including new toilet block, new classroom block, visitor centre refurbishment, boathouse upgrading, tarn aeration, with a major emphasis on sustainability.
To this end we incorporated ground source heat pumps, photovoltaic cells and reed bed filtration, constructed the classroom block from sustainable timber, built a rainwater reclamation system into the toilet block and provided a wind turbine system to power the boathouse.
