Churches & Historical Buildings
lambert-gill have carried out many significant church and heritage projects. Most recently we carried out a multi-million-pound full renovation of Rose Castle near Dalston, using traditional materials together with bespoke manufactured joinery from our Joiners Shop. We worked hand-in-hand with a team of Archaeologists using our own craftsmen as we restored this beautiful building.

Our Work
Notable church projects successfully delivered include the complete rebuilding of St Michael’s Church, Workington, the full re-modelling of Penrith Methodist Church and remodelling/renovation projects at Annan Reformed Church, Aglionby Street Baptist Church, St Elizabeth’s Church, Harraby, St John’s Church, Carlisle, St Michael’s Church, Dalston and most recently St Kentigern’s Church, Irthington.
Examples of works in other historic settings include the reconstruction of Slaggyford Station, the renovation of Keswick Moot Hall, the complete reinstatement of Wordsworth House, Cockermouth back to its original condition, the remodelling of a section of Carlisle Castle to create the Museum of Military Life and the redevelopment of The Green at Silloth, including the full renovation of the Edwardian buildings.
As with our work in other sectors, projects were carried out both in competitive tender and by negotiation and the attention to detail of our team of craftsmen ensured each project was delivered sympathetically and to a level of quality in keeping with the history of the buildings worked on.
