Talkin Tarn
Hospitality & Leisure
Carlisle City Council required a major redevelopment of Talkin Tarn Country Park at Brampton and lambert-gill won the contract to carry out this prestigious scheme.
At the heart of each element of the development was sustainability and consequential design solutions including a ground source heat pump, reed bed filtration, photovoltaic cells, rainwater reclamation system for toilets, sustainable timber classroom block and a wind turbine to provide power to the boathouse.
The scheme included renovation and refurbishment of the Visitors Centre, a new stone-built toilet block, a new log cabin classroom, upgrading of both boathouses and a full aeration system to the tarn.
By working in close collaboration with our Client’s team the project was delivered on time and budget and to the complete satisfaction of our Client.
