PCI Labs, Cumberland Infirmary

Healthcare

lambert-gill were engaged by Mitie on behalf of the NHS Trust to construct a state of the art laboratory building to deliver percutaneous coronary intervention (P.C.I.) procedures. With our history of successfully delivering schemes in live healthcare environments, we were awarded the contract on a price and quality basis.

The new building was attached by link corridor to the existing heart labs which remained in use throughout the construction period and the works were also located immediately adjacent to the main entrance to the Cumberland Infirmary.

The works also included re-modelling within the existing live heart unit. The interface between the hospital staff, hospital users and the general public had to be managed with extreme sensitivity and was critical to the success of the project.

To this end, our site management team developed close and trusted relationships with key hospital staff and via robust communication worked together to ensure no disruption or inconvenience was caused to patients, staff or the general public.

Having worked with lambert-gill over the past two years, I would have no issues recommending them for future opportunities with the work of a high quality and proving the ability…
