lambert-gill have an ongoing relationship with Cumbria Education Trust under which we have carried out numerous capital and maintenance projects, including works at Whitehaven Academy, Longtown School and William Howard School.

The largest of these was a multi-million-pound redevelopment project at William Howard School which included the construction of new classroom and science blocks.

These new buildings were right in the heart of a live school environment and the relationship developed between our Site Management team and School staff were key to success. The position of the sites affected not only the movement of pupils and staff within school hours, but also bus routes and drop offs.

Phased methodologies for segregation and communication were jointly developed by key stakeholders and plans were adapted as requirements changed.

The completed buildings are to the highest level of quality and disruption to the School was kept to an absolute minimum.
